Yo, iPad Haters. Suck on this. (or, How the iPad will also Completely Revolutionize Digital Advertising, Again)

If you were still wondering "why would I want an iPad," allow me to provide the first piece of in-depth evidence of my on-going assertion that the developers and content providers will define the value of the device.

There are some early concepts about how advertising is affected by this, the ever-closer promise of an interactive print ad is just the beginning of the era that is going to bring purpose back to the print-style designers and advertising creatives who are currently feeling pressure defining their value in the "digital world," while putting the interaction designer into the brand campaign concept conversation. I cannot fucking wait.

Watch this video and tell me if you don't start to see why this device might actually be "magical."

Googleprices

Google has started adding estimated driving prices to their mass transit directions in Google Maps. According to the support page, it's based on milage multiplied by standard corporate cost per mile rates, so it's accuracy is dubious. The site forgives itself as " only an estimate and doesn't consider tolls, parking fees, or variations in gas mileage for different types of cars."

Still sorta cute, however, in our ever-greening digital information society.
